“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28
“I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, • and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, ‘This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ • In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-25
“Heaven’s scheme of redemption was unfolded according to a precise program so as to be most advantageous to human reception. Through the centuries, salvation for fallen man has been available, conditioned upon God’s foreknowledge of what would transpire at the cross.” - Wayne Jackson

1 John 4:8 Consider the thoughts about God revealed in Exodus 34:6-7a.
God is love. He is pure love. He is infinite love. He is by nature, love. He cannot not love. It is who He is. • Jonah 3:10-4:2 • John 8:1-11. • Why? • 2 Peter 3:9. • 1 Timothy 2:4.
Isaiah 6:3. • He is pure holiness. He is infinite holiness. He is by nature, holy. He cannot not be holy. • Habakkuk 1:13. • Revelation 4:8: “And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”
Why didn’t God make man without the ability to sin? • Love allows choices. • “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19). • The world would not be dependable. We would not really be free, would we? • The bottom line here is that God allows man to choose his own eternal destiny.
Genesis 18:25 – “Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?” • God is just. He is pure justice. He is infinite justice. He is by nature, just. He cannot not be just. • Revelation 16:5: “And I heard the angel in charge of the waters say, “Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments.” • Romans 6:23: “The wages of sin is death.”
The second part of the verse says, “but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” • God allowed Jesus to “stand in” for us. • But what about those who refuse to follow Jesus?
God is hatred If God is perfect and God is complete and God is infinite – then He is also perfect, complete, and infinite in hatred. God hates sin. God says, “Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate” (Proverbs 8:13).
Proverbs 6:16-19 • God hates robbery and wrong - Isaiah 61:8. • God hates worship that is not consistent with His prescribed pattern - Amos 5:21; Deut. 16:22. • That hatred for sin can even be broadened to include the humans who persist in sin: Jeremiah 12:8; Psalms 11:5; 104:35
WHY HELL? • If you reject the love of God, what else is there? • “There are only two kinds of people in the end…”
