  2. Young Man University When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man I put away childish things. – 1 Corinthians 13:11

  3. The Spirit of YMU “For unto us a child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And a government will be upon his shoulder.” - Isaiah 9:6 Young Men University is a training center for boys and men. YMU offers clear choices and options based upon the current stations in life. YMU believes that change is inevitable therefore, the need to attempt to force change is more often than not unsuccessful. However, there is not only a need but an obligation to show the results that are realized from the choices all men make. !

  4. The Spirit of YMU The instructors and staff of YMU have all experienced life in ways that caused destruction. Now, by the Grace and Mercy of God they have returned to those dark places from… ”Whence They Came” to share not only their mistakes but how, through Christ, life has been restored. Now they pour out of their hearts to prevent others from realizing their tragedies hoping to spare them the hurts and sorrows they have come to know.

  5. The Spirit of YMU There are no magical formulas to aid in the proper growth of our young men. There are no incantations which can be uttered over them. At YMU we believe that there is however, a WORD that exceeds all others. We believe there is a name that is above all other names. In all our efforts here at YMU we call upon the name of Jesus. We rely solely upon His name, Mercy and Grace for the wisdom and guidance needed to change the lives of young men. Amen!

  7. The Spirit of YMU Is your son nearing adulthood now or in the very near future? Has he dropped out of school? Do you see him drifting into areas of life that can only bring destruction and sorrow? YMU, does not accept or condone the ideal that a young man can be “scared straight”. We believe that by sharing real life experience from the hearts of men from of all ages this will create a positive thought provoking and indelible impact in the lives of these young men.

  12. About Our President • Jeffery Ryan Futrell is the Founder and President of Young Man University Inc. It is his passion and spirit which is the driving force of this company.His experience in the areas of business has help to create a sound infrastructure for this new and innovative Corporation. With all of the business accruements which he possess it is his devotion and dedication to change that set him and Young Man University apart from other organizations. Few men offer the well rounded balance which plays an essential role in the company’s efforts to positively reach men. Mr. Futrell is a man of great faith in Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior. He believes and relies upon this factor more than any other. God has given the President of Young Man University a testimony which compels men to seek God’s purpose in their own lives.

Futrell, President/CEO • Lonnie Gauldin, Sr. Vice President • They will manage the planning, development and implementation of the program’s curriculum and services. • Accountabilities to include: • Program curriculum & scheduling within designated time frames; • Quality of program & curriculum; • Overall adherence to program and; • Financial (budget) constraints
