  2. Rose had 6 pumpkins. She carved a mouth, two eyes, and a nose in each one. How many mouths, noses, and eyes were carved in total?

  3. ANSWER • 6 X 4 (1 mouth, 2 eyes, 1 nose per pumpkin) = 24

  4. James heard two bats flying around his house on Halloween eve. They started screeching at 8:00 PM and didn’t stop until 5:00 PM. How many hours did poor James have to listen to the screeching?

  5. Answer • 9 hours • 8 PM- 12 AM= 4 Hours • 12 AM- 5 AM= 5 Hours • 4 + 5= 9 Hours

  6. Wanda the witch flew from New York to Los Angeles to visit her cousin Walter. The distance was 3,000 miles. She flew on her trusty broom at 25 miles per hour. How many days did it take her?

  7. ANSWER • 3,000 miles / 25 mph = 120 hours • 120 hrs/ 24 hrs = 5 • 5 days
