  8. TASK 1 • Get in groups of 4 and pick an invention to work on for the rest of the project

What you will be asked to do:In groups of 4 you will divide amongst yourselves the following 4 research roles • research on the early history of the invention • research on the development of the invention • research on vocabulary related to the invention • research on 2 exercises with vocabulary related to the invention • All research information is to be presented in Word document form and then in PowerPoint presentation form

  10. What you will be asked to do: In groups of 4 present the invention in terms of: • component parts • instructions for use • advantages and disadvantages • predicted future developments

What you will be asked to do: In groups of 4 • devise a questionnaire made up of 5 closed and 5 open questions to assess the role of the invention in the lives of people • apply the questionnaire to 20 persons • report the findings in chart form (to be part of the PowerPoint presentation, together with the questionnaire)

  12. What you will be asked to do: In groups of 4 • Create an advertisement (poster/video/role-play) to present the invention to accompany the PowerPoint presentation
