  2. Project Summary The projects in this group required us to create videos that promote the IT major here at FSU. It made us think of unique ways to relay our main message of “why IT?”

  3. Project Purpose • Create 3 videos that promote the idea of “Why IT?” • Get students that are not a part of IT interested in pursuing Information Technology as a major.

  4. Project Goals • To produce 3 excellent videos • Follow all of Mr. Randeree’s guidelines • Stir up interest and talk about the IT major offered here at FSU

  5. Target Audience • Perspective students • Parents of perspective students • Current students who haven’t declared a major yet, or thinking about changing their major • Really, anyone who wants to learn more about the IT major • Sophomores and freshman that are undecided.

  6. Timeline We started out following our timeline pretty well, but it took a little longer than expected to complete editing for video 2, which threw off and delayed everything else on our original timeline/schedule. Video 3 plans had to be changed but we still got all 3 videos complete. Overall, we tried our best to stick to the deadlines we set and the ones we did miss, we got completed ASAP after the deadline date.

  7. Deliverables & Metrics 1st video Completed 2/20 Satisfied requirements for class but Mr. Randeree apparently didn’t like it enough to add to class YouTube page Audio was not good in the video. The room created a echo and to much background noise.

  8. Deliverables & Metrics(continued) 2nd video Completed 4/10 Satisfied requirements for class and was added to class YouTube page by Mr.Randeree Video showed the course map and other requirements for the Information Technology major here at FSU

  9. Deliverables & Metrics(continued) 3rd video Completed 4/24 Satisfied requirements for class and was added to class YouTube page by Mr.Randeree Video 3 is about a guy who doesn’t want to stay in his major and his friend tells him about how good IT major is.

  10. Teamwork & Equity We worked well together considering all things. At our very first meeting, we divided the work into roles and each one of us had that role for the duration of the video projects. We had a director, camera man, interviewer(2), producer(2), and editor. Everyone was willing to and did their part and fair share of the work required. We used the GroupMe texting service to communicate and get things done. The equity of the group was average.

  11. Setbacks • The delay of completing video 2 caused us to get off our original timeline/schedule which caused a delay for video 3’s production and completion • Finding times to hold our group meetings became difficult at times (I think we only wound up having one meeting where everyone was actually present)

  12. The End! • Why IT? Group Final Presentation • Any Questions? • We are done!
