Legal & Security Working Group • FOI and Working Groups • We recommend that the Council send a letter to the FOI Commission, asking for advice on the status of the Council’s work groups or subcommittees under the FOI law. • It is our thought that the subcommittees can be divided into 3 types: • The GIS project group is implementing an existing contract; • The Legal group provides advice and is made up of people who do not serve on the Council itself, • The remaining subcommittees are policy advisors to the full Council. Legal & Security Working Group GIS-related Legislation, Council form a legislative working group, including the legislative liaisons from the interested agencies such as DEMHS, DEP, DOIT, and DPS, as well as the FOI Commission, so that it might be possible to agree upon language that can be proposed at the next legislative session. DEMHS GIS ProjectStatus Enterprise Architecture Design developed from Infrastructure and Technical Meetings Database Design being constructed & State Data Collection ongoing Municipal data collection and information meeting: • Finalizing data to be collected and method • Update and packet to be sent out next week Application Design is in Initial enterprise development Next Steps: Approve finalize infrastructure design and order hardware Continue database inventory and assessment process CT Geospatial Information Systems Council
