    7. 7 Kickoff Line Judge’s Position Remember that clock does NOT start if ball is first touched by K within the first ten yards, though clock will start (and then stopped) if touched by R). If ball is touched by K AFTER the first ten yards, the clock WILL start at the spot of first touching by K. Again – officials covering K & R restraining lines should be aware NOT to start the clock in the first ten yards if touched by K. However; if touched by R, clock can of course.Remember that clock does NOT start if ball is first touched by K within the first ten yards, though clock will start (and then stopped) if touched by R).     8. 8 Kickoff Line Judge’s Position It is important to MAINTAIN proper spacing as you flow downfield. As you flow downfield make sure that you have an awareness when the play starts coming back towards you.     33. 33 Running Play Line Judge NOTE; It is critical that wing officials start (and preferably stay) OFF the field. Ok to trail play by 3 to 4 yards to clean up. GOAL LINE will be covered in other sections. REMEMBER – if play goes OOB wing must pivot, while turning back to FOP, and continue coverage protecting the player who went OOB.
