  2. Why are thinking skills important in MFL? They: • help you to think for yourself; • help you to deconstruct language and to understand that languages have patterns and rules; • help you to articulate your understanding; • give you the opportunity to learn from each other; • promote active involvement; • foster links with other subject areas by using similar strategies.

  3. What are the five thinking skills? They are: • Information processing skills; • Reasoning skills; • Enquiry skills; • Creative thinking skills; • Evaluation skills.
