Adapting Primary Data Collection Checklist As a plenary group: • Identify key stakeholders and their information needs • Review checklist provided by your facilitators; agree on primary data collection needs • Revise checklist as needed for tomorrow’s interviews: to fill gaps, clarify inconsistencies, ensure stakeholder concerns are considered Remember: consider time constraints of Initial EFSA!!
WFP Initial EFSA Learning Why do we need to adapt primary data collection tools? • Each disaster is different, with different needs • Different sets of secondary data will need verification/cross-checking; you may have to adapt primary data checklist accordingly
WFP Initial EFSA Learning Adapting the Checklist • Clarify the objectives of the assessment: know why you are collecting the data • Understand the context of the assessment Crisis? Village? Camp? Settlement? Other? • Know to whom the questions are to be asked: Key Informant? Community Group? Household?
