The Effectiveness of Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) • Students usually learning more when they receive computer-assisted instruction • CAI is more efficient (reducing instructional time from one-quarter to one third) • For example, computer tutoring can present materials to students, evaluate the students’ responses, determine what to present next, and track the students’ progress. (Kulik, 1994, p.11)
