Classroom focus • school should be a safe haven for all students. • individuality should be celebrated. • art should be treated as an academic class, • focusing on measurable criteria which • includes history, aesthetics, critical analysis • and the studio experience. • Art should be presented as a series of problems to solve. And, art should be fun!!
Assessment focuses on: • Productivity • Craftsmanship • Creativity • Technique • Effort and participation
Art should also reflect the thoughts and opinions of its creator. Art should bring out the inner child in all of us. That my job is to hopefully instill a life long love of the arts, if not in practice, than in appreciation. And that a good art program incorporates the community in which it exists.
