CALPADS Fall 1 Training v1.1  Fall 1 Checklist – Data Submissions Complete data reconciliation Synchronizing student school start dates in CALPADS to the student school start dates in SIS Get SSIDs for new students Add enrollment, demographics and program data Update student demographics (SINF) and program (SPRG) data for students active on Information Day Post missing student demographics and program for exited students (transfers, graduates and dropouts) 12

CALPADS Fall 1 Training v1.1 Fall 1 Checklist – Verify Reports Supporting Reports are detailed student lists of which students are counted in the aggregate primary reports Can be filtered by school – for review by site principal Can be filtered by subgroups – for review by program coordinators Title III Eligible Immigrants are certified as part of Fall 1 These counts will replace the Student National Origin Report (SNOR) starting in the 2010-2011 school year 2.2 Title III Eligible Immigrants – Count by Birth Country 14

CALPADS Fall 1 Training v1.1  Fall 1 Tip – Certification Certify button will not be enabled until There are zero FATAL certification errors (warnings will not prevent certification but should be reviewed) The combined CCE and MID rate must be 2% or less CCE date range: 8/16/08 – 10/07/09 MID date range: last 14 months from processed date The Certification Aggregate Reports are reviewed Review reports for accuracy a green checkmark displays next to them Certified counts will be reported on DataQuest 16

CALPADS Fall 1 Training v1.1  Fall 1 – After Certification Certified Snapshot data will be retained in the snapshot database Data will be “frozen” Snapshots will not be generated Decertify will be enabled after the snapshot has been certified. If selected, Decertify will Set the snapshot’s status to decertified Unfreeze the snapshot creating process Automatically submit a request for a new snapshot to generate 17

For batch processing, Grade Level is updated by the SINF, not the SENR Student information record dates should be aligned with enrollment dates Must own the enrollment to update student information records 52

Certification criteria not met Outstanding fatal errors Anomaly rate exceeds 2% All three reports have not been reviewed LEA Admin cannot certify You must sign in with an account with the certifier role Can I certify with errors? Only fatal errors will prevent you from certifying Warnings are informational but are included in the error count 54
