  11. Recent Renaissance Speech Steps to Success • 1. Choose a person from my list to research. • 2. Please thoroughly research your individual. • 3. Gather research about the background, accomplishments and impact of this individual. • 4. This should be a two minute speech broken down in the following fashion… • Background 30 seconds • Accomplishments 60 seconds • Impact 30 seconds • 5. Create a grabber for your speech!! • 6. Please type a copy of you information in an organized and professional manner. • 7. Please create notecards for when you present. • 8. Practice your speech several times before you present! • 9. Ask a teacher for help with concepts and vocabulary you don’t understand! • 10. You do not need to prepare a power point!!!! • 11. Always end by thanking your audience and asking if there are any questions.
