Workforce Development • Yearly open houses for middle and high school students at each campus • Weeklong summer workshops for high school students in NO, BTR, and Ruston • Summer RET for high school and community college teachers in NO, BTR, and Ruston • Summer workshops on discovery-based teaching methods • Development of computational modules for community colleges (BRCC/ENGR to start)
Workforce Development • Short courses for 2-year and technical college students (e.g., X-Ray) • Expand Beowulf Boot Camp • Summer REU program at each institution • Materials Science courses delivered statewide • Postdoc and graduate student training programs • Industrial internships
External Engagement • Guests to LPB • Public lectures • Leveraging existing NSF investments • Lectures to local industries • Posting videos of lectures, talks, etc. to website
External Engagement • Distribute software, as appropriate, via website • Biannual “all-hands” meetings • Visits to international labs
