  1. El Rio Nilo El río Nilo (النيل en árabe) es el mayor río de África además de ser considerado tradicionalmente el río más largo del mundo.

  2. Está ubicado al nordeste del continente, nace en Burundi y tiene dos afluentesprincipales, el Nilo Blanco y el Nilo Azul. El primero atraviesa los Grandes Lagos de África, teniendo su fuente más distante en Ruanda y fluye al norte por Tanzania, el lago Victoria, Uganda y Sudán, mientras que el Nilo Azul comienza en el lago Tana, en Etiopía, y fluye a lo largo del sudeste de Sudán. Ambos se encuentran cerca de la capital sudanesa, Jartum.

  3. En la antigüedad este rio era la fuente de agua y energía para la agricultura pero también era una importante fuente de recursos ictícolas destinados a la supervivencia.
