  1. Annawan Music Boosters Meeting September 19th, 2013

Purpose: To increase the quality of the education and musical experiences for the students in the Annawan schools. • Betterment through increased community awareness of events and activities, volunteer support, outreach opportunities, and organization of fund raisers to provide financial support for student wants. Introduction

  3. Booster Officers • President, Treasurer are necessary. Additional positions are beneficial. • By-Laws • Could be simple, could be complex • Unity Music Boosters By-Laws • Monthly Meetings • Same day each month (i.e. 2nd Monday) • Student Accounts • For tracking student fundraising contributions to be applied to financial needs. Structure

Volunteer Efforts: • Helping with marching band/color guard uniforms • Providing meals/snacks before/after performances • Chaperoning trips/events • Planning end of the year banquet. • Dinner • Raffle • Awards • Dance? • Fundraising Efforts: • Band/Choir Apparel (Breedlove’s) • Concessions/50-50 Raffles • Spring jazz/acapella night • Custom calendars • Community Outreach: • Advertising for concerts • Christmas caroling • Instrument donation program • Performance opportunities Initial Ideas

  6. Next Friday, September 27th, we will be hosting the Wethersfield Marching Band for a pre-football game tailgate. They hosted us last week at WHS and intend to host us again for the remaining two games at their field. • We need: • One or two volunteers to help serve • Buns for 100 • Paper Plates • Desserts/Chips • Thank you to Lana Wolf for donating beverages and condiments and to the Athletic Boosters for donating and cooking food. Marching Band Tailgate

  7. September 27th – Marching Band performance at AHS Homecoming Football Game • Tuesday, October 22nd – 6-12th grade choir performance at 7 PM • November – Annawan Winter Guard rehearsals begin. Open to all 8-12 students! • Friday, December 6th – K-5 Christmas Program at 2 PM • Tuesday, December 10th – 6-12 Christmas Concert at 7 PM Coming Soon!
