  2. Genesis 46.3-4: And He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will close your eyes.”

To Abraham Genesis 12.2: I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing… Genesis 13.13: for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever. Genesis 15.7: “I am the LORD who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to possess it.” Recurring Promises Abraham died possessing no land
