What was the Exiles Decree?“That people who had been exiled from Greek states for political reasons could now return to their homes.” • The exiles decree was an announcement made by Alexander when he was in Susa in 324. • He assembled his troops to tell them. • He sent Nicanor to Greece to announce this decree to the Greeks at the Olympic Games in 324. The 20 000 people gathered cheered when they heard the news.
