All nouns are grouped into either masculine or feminine groups • Most words [nouns] ending in – Oare masc: • Most words [nouns] ending in -- A are fem. • El & los mean noun is masc. • La & las mean noun is feminine. • To make a noun plural: 1] add “S” if it ends in a vowel or –”es” if the word ends in a consonant 2] change el --> los la --> las

3. DEFINITE ARTICLES • EL, LA, LOS, LAS = Articulos Definidos • They all mean “THE”

4. In your notes or on a scrap paper, make the following words plural. Remember, there are TWO steps to do. La señora --> El señor --> El deporte --> La casa --> El taco --> La television -->

8. Uses of DE: 1. Show possession. Es el taco de Paco. = It’s Paco’s taco. (It is the taco OF Paco.) Note: There are NO apostrophes in Spanish. They do NOT exist! 2.Describing things. la clase de espaňol el libro de terror
