Plans for Year 2Christy Chatmon • Deploy FAMLEARNS in STEM departments CIS, Math, ME, Biology, Chemistry • Host FAMLEARNS session at 2009 Faculty Planning Conference for non-STEM • Provide infrastructure and support services • Conduct project impact evaluation • Host FAMLEARNS on institutional networks FAMLEARNS Steering Committee
Challenges & OpportunitiesCarl Moore • Evaluation • Challenge or Opportunity • Asking and responding to tough questions • Guarantees continuous improvement over time • Questions we want answered • Who is using FAMLEARNS and how do they use it? • Is FAMLEARNS appropriately designed? • Are effects being realized (productivity, motivation, etc)? • Where will we get our answers • Web access, interviews & surveys, help desk feedback FAMLEARNS Steering Committee
Challenges & OpportunitiesCarl Moore • Promotion • Reaching FAMLEARNS customers • Prior success (measured through evaluation) helps • Early acceptance by key educators and students • Investigators are core STEM course faculty • Building word of mouth support among students • Multimedia Marketing • FAMLEARNS posters • FAMLEARNS advertisement videos • Other avenues?
