  2. Childhood • Born on June 10th,1911 • Suffered from a disease called anemia as a child • First time underwater was at a summer camp in Vermont when he fell in a lake • The Cousteau family was always moving because of his dad’s job

  3. Inventions • Developed a love for film and the ocean • Created his own TV show called “The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau.” • Designed an underwater breathing device called the Aqua Lung

  4. Cousteau’s death • As he aged family members were lost (his wife and his son) • Died on June 25,1997 from heart failure
