  6. Upper Level Forecast Chart(Image is Moisture) Tonight Tonight: Northwest flow aloft to bring a few clouds to NC/NE areas. Otherwise… QUIET with stronger inversions.

  7. Upper Level Forecast Chart(Image is Moisture) New Years Eve Tuesday: Warmer! Northwest flow aloft strengthens slightly with a fast-moving disturbance passing over Colorado. Little impact aside from some clouds near the NM/CO line.

  9. Upper Level Forecast Chart(Image is Moisture) New Years Day Weak, Fast-Moving Disturbances New Years Day: Persistent northwest flow aloft. A couple of weak disturbances may bring patchy, light precipitation to NC/NE areas. Temps a little cooler most areas, especially northeast. Brisk winds central mts and highlands.

Upper Level Forecast Chart(Image is Moisture) Weekend Outlook Saturday Sunday Weekend: Fast-moving upper trough forecast to pass over the southern Rockies this weekend, but newest model runs trending drier and less impactful. Best chance for precipitation across the northern mountains and northeast Saturday night.

Weak disturbances to bring some clouds at times, and possibly flurries/light snow to far NC/NE on New Years Day-Wednesday night mainly near the NM/CO line. Otherwise…temperatures warming through Tuesday then cooling slightly for New Years Day before warming late week. Thursday-FridayDeteriorating air quality due to poor ventilation and stronger inversions. WeekendBest chance for precipitation across the northern mountains and northeast Saturday night into Sunday.
