The ISSUE Overall OBJECTIVE • To support young (16-24yo) refugees’ integration in their final destination countries, by efficiently and effectively use of the time they spend in the host/receiving countries TARGET populations Young Refugees… AGE 16 to24 yo • Subpopulation A: Young people over 16 years old awaiting resettlement or family reunification • Subpopulation B: Young adult asylum seekers with legal residence during the application review Refugees receive limited or no support by the receiving countries in terms of preparation for their final destination countries Lack of knowledge of qualifications and competences of the young newly - arrived refugees from all involved countries Need for transnational added value in vocational training for youth to those involved in the migration challenge Kick-off Meeting 15 & 16 November 2017 3
SPECIFIC project OBJECTIVES • To develop structures and methods to prevent young refugees from NEET status • To early profiling young refugees, focusing on skills and competences needed • To actively involve young refugees via personalized approach, counseling, vocational guidance and linguistic-intercultural training actions • To promote knowledge and exchange of experience between receiving and final destination (host) countries regarding requirements and integration mechanisms of host societies • To develop good and innovative practices that enable the target groups to quickly enter the labor market, in line with the needs and characteristics of the labor markets of the host countries and in conjunction with the needs and capabilities of refugee populations • To provide target groups with the necessary social and horizontal skills for their integration in the labor markets • To promote a sustainable partnership between public authorities and social partners towards integration of target groups into the labor market • To develop vocational education and training pathways for young persons and stakeholders involved in refugee and multicultural migrant counseling, guidance, mentoring, coaching, training Kick-off Meeting 15 & 16 November 2017

EVALUATION Actions • Internal and Externalevaluation actions are being planned to be implemented, which are closely related/complementary to each other. • INTERNALevaluation will be mainly focused at the “on-going” evaluation of the project as it progresses, as well as at the final evaluation, which will principally concern with project outcomes and will seek to identify and measure effectiveness in achieving stated objectives and targets, in order to appropriately inform and influence decision-making at National and European level.
