The Link between F1 Night Race & Chemistry BoeySoek Bing
One example… Copper(II) oxide is added in excess to warm dilute sulfuric acid If we are preparing crystals, students will say “to ensure a saturated solution is formed.” If we are into mole concepts, students will say “sulfuric acid is the limiting reactant. Once it is used up, the whole reaction will stop.”
So I started thinking… How to improve the situation?
And I continue to think… Must bear in mind the Parallel Curriculum…. And also I.C.E. “Curriculum of Identity” I shall use….
Three Stages of the lesson • Chief Designer of "Dream the Impossible", a race car company. TyreCompany, YokoHoHosupply 100 tyres and Headlights Company, JoJoHasupply 60 headlights. • Use Google Doc to reflect on how many cars can you make for the F1 Night Race. Reflect on other constraints. • Share feedback by opening “Google Doc”. Use of cartoons to promote understanding and creativity.
