Geometry 11-19 • The RS/JMC report • The curriculum - no conics anywhere! • Circles at KS3, KS4, AS, A2 • Locus at KS3/4 in Ma3 • OK to do parabola, ellipse, hyperbola • But not statutory • Even though they’re all around
From the RS/JMC report • Recommendation 8: We recommend that the geometry curriculum be developed to give greater emphasis to work in 3-dimensions and to make better use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
