Enhance public engagement and improve collaboration Educate key national and state opinion leaders who drive influential federal, state, and regional policies/legislation/regulations Outcome: Stakeholders work together for policies, actions, and legislation that promote military readiness and support DoD’s mission Education and Engagement “Range Tours allow the two communities to see the same ground through the lens of the other…provides a forum for talking to each other and working towards mutual goals.” -Sierra Club Lands Director

Regional Partnering Effective Working Relationship +Good GIS Map + Collaborative Planning = Multiple and Mutual Benefits • Regional partnership between DoD, States and multiple federal agencies • Purpose – seize opportunities and solve problems in value-adding ways that provide mutual and multiple benefits to the partners and sustain the mission

Non-federal partners cooperating and cost sharing for land protection and conservation Preserves current capabilities Protects against incompatible use of non-federal land that risks warfighter access to the installation and range platforms necessary for readiness Avoids costly future reinvestment to reproduce or replace training and testing capabilities Readiness and Environmental Protection Initiative (REPI) REPI is a cost-effective tool to protect current and future combat capabilities
