PLANNING REVISIONWhen should I start? • As soon as possible – The longer the period of revision, the more thorough you can be
How do I plan my revision? • Make a list of subjects to revise and break them down into topics • Estimate how long each topic is likely to take to revise • Make a revision programme which includes 2 or 3 topics / methods per session
Getting down to it……… • Prepare a place to revise before you are due to start • Ensure that you have everything you need • Decide on a time to start/finish and stick to it - NO excuses! • Plan regular breaks to sustain concentration

Tips for Revising • Make condensed notes or diagrams for each topic • Make revision cards with key words highlighted • Use pod casts, videos or the Internet to add variety • Test yourself with friends or parents or attempting past papers

Good preparation • Wake up at a suitable time • Eat a healthy, substantial breakfast • Check that you have all the resources you need for the exam including your seat number • Get to school in plenty of time • Go to the toilet just before the exam
