Web Objects for Storyline You may need to insert a Captivate file into Storyline, as we do with the How To’s and the main Infosario eLearning Course. Here are the basic steps you will need. • You will need to publish the Captivate file to the SharePoint site. Make sure it has it’s own folder. • Each time you upload the file, make sure it has the exact same name. • Create a Web Objects Folder. • This folder should only contain and file called “index” as you see below. • To edit this file right click and open with Word Pad.
Web Objects for Storyline • Once you have opened it in Word Pad make sure that the width and height match the html file you will be using. If it does not, adjust it to the appropriate size. • Next copy the appropriate http link in all three places, as highlighted in pink. • Save the index file. It will save as Word Pad. You will need to right click on the file select Open with and then select Choose default program. Select Internet Explorer as your default program.
Web Objects for Storyline • Now you can insert your Captivate file in Storyline as a Web Object. • When you do this, be sure to choose the index file as your source. • Use the Test Link button to make sure it has worked. • When you go to publish all your files on the InfosariomediaSharePoint you will need to upload the index file with any published content.
