The Loudoun County Department of Construction and Waste Management, in collaboration with A. Morton Thomas & Associates, is undertaking a project to improve traffic flow and safety on Route 7, specifically on Potomac View Road, Sterling Boulevard, and Augusta Drive. The project includes the addition of new turn lanes, safety improvements, and drainage upgrades. It aims to enhance operational efficiency and provide additional benefits such as improved stormwater treatment. Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2012 and be completed by spring/summer 2013.

TRAFFIC CONTROL HIGHLIGHTS • Off-Peak Hour* Lane Closures • Temporary lane narrowing • Night Work to be minimized • Construction Period Approximately 12 months * Peak Hours currently defined as 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
