SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS • Widened shoulders where feasible • Increased acceleration zone where feasible • Flattened slopes in median where feasible • Traffic barrier (Guard Rail) along steep slopes
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS • Improving Roadway Drainage • Increasing Storm Sewer Pipe Sizes to handle more flow • Re-grading Median Ditch Lines
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS • Utilizing Landscaped Biofiltration Basins • Provides a “Low Impact” Solution • Aesthetically pleasing landscaping
TRAFFIC CONTROL HIGHLIGHTS • Off-Peak Hour* Lane Closures • Temporary lane narrowing • Night Work to be minimized • Construction Period Approximately 12 months * Peak Hours currently defined as 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
