Only public files are included. • Files in their original formats: Presentations may be available in Microsoft PowerPoint or LibreOffice formats. Documents available as Microsoft’s Word, WordPerfect, or Libre Office. XML Schemas • (. xsd) are included as published. Archives • Documents that are no longer current, or not being used in current research and development. • Superseded Standards — versioned standards and guidelines where only the last version is authoritative—are in a separate collection. • U.S. Student Financial Aid is a separate collection combining current and historical documents. Every version of a document is retained for possible audit or litigation. • Archived documents are organized by publisher.

Bookmarks, thumbnails, and indexes have been added both automatically by computer programs and manually and are subject to error. • The compilation is intended as one of several references and each document should be read with its limitations in mind. • Many of these documents are drafts or versions that may have been changed or may be changed.
