Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент • Advantages: • Direct contact with the patient. • Fast application of a treatment protocol. • Disadvantages: • Patients with the disease of interest may not be available in the clinic. • Many of the patients suffer from combination of diseases. • Sometimes the patient or his relatives do not agree to participate in the scientific experiment. • Risk for the patient if wrong diagnosis and/or wrongly applied treatment protocol.

Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент • Advantages: • No necessity to search for patient in the clinics. • No problems related with permission of the patient or his/her relatives fo participate in the research. • No problem with accompanying diseases. • Disadvantages: • One has to set a meeting with the actor. • Limited number of actors with particular disease. • High cost of the interview with actor. • Limited period of time for communication with the actor. • If the interview is via Skype, requirements to the computer skills, hardware and software. • Requirements for high-speed and stable internet- connection.

Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент • Предимства: • Не се налага да се търси подходящ пациент. • Отпадат проблемите, свъразни с изискванията за информирано съгласие на пациента или близките му. • Отпадат проблемите с наличието на съпътстващи заболявания. • Възможност за неограничено време за общуване с пациента, в удобен за лекаря момент. • Недостатъци: • Изисква се интервюиращият да има компютърна грамотност • Има изисквания към софтуера на компютъра • Изисква се наличие на бърза и стабилна интернет-връзка със сървъра.

  7. Who to work with the Bulgarian Virtual Patient: Go to the Virtual Patient’s website(http://ic2.ugr.es:8080/MVSP_WS/start ).

  13. Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент I feel pain in the parietal bone area. I don’t suffer from smell loss. But I have difficulty to breath at rest. I have expectoration. I havwe a cough from 13 дни, Doctor. Since wto weeks I hear noises when breathing. I suffocate. I suffocate from almost 10 days, Doctor. The inability to breath is not too strong. But I have a cough. All VPs with same Disease reveal symptoms of the same groupno matter of variations. Example: Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URTI):

  14. Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент I have pain in the fce, and guju kajbi around the cheekbone. It’s stifling. I’m sweaty. (ethnic Turk, not well educated) Yeah. Hurt me muzzle. Right cheekbone hurts me. My year hurts too. But it hurts slightly. (low educated Bulgarian) I have a smell loss. I have expectoration. And I have cold in the head. (ethnic Bulgarian, well educated) The education level and ethnic descend of the Patient can be varied within the same Disease: Example: Upper Respiratory tract Infection:

I have an unusual sweating from 2-3 weeks. Yes, Doctor. Water flows from me. Va, isi man. Sapanisarel. (completely Gipsy expression) Yes.

  16. Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент How strong the unusal sweating is? Native Non-Native Strong. Ter, and very nasty. (mixture or turkish and Bulgarian) I sweat. Unbearable. I’m sweating. Too much. A lot. I’m sweating as a bore, and badly too.

(Mixture ov Bulgarian and Gipsy) I am sweating from 2-3 weeks.. I’m sweating from last Friday. I have a sweat from last ten days. From three weeks.

  18. Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент How frequent the unusual sweating is? Native Non-Native Rain wind. Rarely. Very rarely. In rear ocasions. I’m having sweat, but from time to time. Sometimes I am experiencing sweating.

  19. Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент Smoker: Asthmatic patient: 50%asthma+50% smoker I have cough. I have a wheezing chest. If moving, I feel pain in the ribs. Often I am loosing taste on my tongue. I have a smell loss. I have no appetite. I have expectorations. This happens to me frequently I have pain in my chest when breathing. I suffocate. I have expectorations. The VP allows modeling the effect of a bad habits on a disease:

  21. Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент Diabetes: Asthma: URTI-patient I am in a bad mood. I urinate very frequently. I am always thirsty. I have pain in the chest when moving. I don’t have anough air. I have expectorations. I have lost my taste. I have no appetite. I feel like this frequently. I have a serious smell loss too. Virtual Patients with different doseases show different groups of symptoms:

  22. Многоезичен Виртуално Симулиран Пациент What has to be done? To develop more smooth dialog between Doctor and Patient. To increase the diversity of Diseases and their combinations. To expand the modeling of the effects of various factors: Bad habits; Environmental polution. To adapt the MVSP to the needsof the training and self-education of larger varieties of groups of health-care specialists.
