The priority tasks for Research and Development • To invest public resources in research and development more efficiently and effectively; • To modernise scientific infrastructure in research institutes and higher education establishments, strengthen the leading role of higher educational establishments in the development of science and research; • Consolidate the intellectual potential of science and develop applied research in the area of innovative technologies; • To promote participation of Latvian science in the international co-operation projects.
