Information about holy family community services: Men’s Shed • Running by UWS & Holy Family Centre • funds received from Dept of health and ageing • Provides assistance to Families, Indigenous people, Young adults with isolation problems, With various issues, Suicidal prevention, stop smoking, and a range of art and craft activities and cultural activities
Food Market and Clothing Shop • Running under Holy family Centre • St Vincent De Paul provides vouchers to people who are unable to afford food, and groceries are kept at an affordable price • sells different needs at affordable prices such as clothes, shoes, jewellery, book and DVD etc • garage sales are on fortnightly, on Thursdays • Voluntary work
Play groups and mental health groups and youth services • Play groups are especially for young mothers and children, they provide speech therapies, and early childhood teachings. It also trains young women in how to take care of children and helps them prepare their kids for school
Holiday programs • This program provides excursions to the local people of Mt Druitt • This program allow locals to travel at extremely low fares • Funds received from the Department of Community Services
Pre-school and primary school • Pre-school is funded by Holy Family Centre this prepares young children aged between 4 and 5 for primary school. • Primary school is an catholic devoted school which runs under the church to kinder-garden to year 5 , and will be catering for year 6 in 2010.
Day care centre • The day care centre runs between 6.30am to 5.30pm • Funded and controlled by St Vincent de Paul • Centre provides breakfast, tea, milk and meals to kids throughout the day
St Vincent de Paul Society • Social workers help people to take control of life struggles • Support and counselling • Psychologist:-provide psychological treatment, counselling for individuals • Budget/financial counselling:- it will help to plan a budget for live better on less, financial counsellor help to sorting out money problem
