This study explores the patterns of fish community indicators, such as Coregonids, Salmonids, Percids, Esocids, Centrarchids, and Ictalurids, using historical and recent data. It examines the variation and patterns of the Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI), annual variation, minimum detectable change, and their relationship with lake characteristics and stressor gradients. Additionally, it investigates the correlation between fish IBI and plant community indicators, biovolume, and verifies the applicability of IBI in larger lakes. The study also examines the species patterns in Border Lakes and predicts the occurrence probability vs. TSI. Prediction intervals of IBI given TSI are also presented.

Fish community indicators: patterns from historical & recent data • Coregonids/Salmonids • Percids/Esocids • Centrarchids • Ictalurids • Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI)
Variation & Patterns • Annual variation – minimum detectable change • Relate to lake characteristics and stressor gradients • Relate to plant community indicators & biovolume
Fish IBI • Verify IBI works for larger lakes • Examine species patterns in Border Lakes
