  2. What is NRHH? • The recognition branch of NACURH • A very special way of recognizing those top leaders on campus, by membership • Restricted to 1% of students living in the residence halls. So, once inducted into NRHH you can consider yourself a member of the Top 1% of residence hall leaders.

  3. NRHH at MSU • Beaumont Chapter • Affiliated in May 2004 • Over 60 member, active and alumni • Executive Board • President – Cory Lee Rose • Vice President – Vacant • Treasurer – Sam Williams • Secretary – Megan Hickey

  4. What we’ve been doing… • Working with RHA and ASMSU on Katrina Relief. • Weekly meetings working on building involvement • Committee meetings organizing induction ceremony and community service

  5. What are our plans… • Working with the Vice President on GA and Hall recognition • Increasing submission of OTM awards • Assist NCC and MOCC with getting MSU state, regional and national recognition • Select an outstanding class to induct this semster

  6. How to get involved… • Be nominated! • Be selected! • Be inducted! • Be active!

  7. Nominations • Membership into NRHH is taken by nomination only. • Those who may nominate are as follows:

  8. Nominations • NRHH Members – Active and Alumni • Residence Life Staff • ORESA Staff • Full-time Staff of: • University Housing • Student Life

Nominations • Criteria for nominations: • Shall have resided in the residence halls for at least one (1) full semesters prior to the semester of selection. • Shall have minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. • Shall have completed a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours. • Shall have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership in residence halls at Michigan State University.

  10. Selection • Nominations go through a selection committee. • The committee reviews the nominee and decides those to induct this semester

  11. Induction • After nominees have been selected by the committee, there is an Induction Ceremony. • This is the formal recognition of membership. • Members need to be present

  12. Be Active! • Once a member, always a member • Great way to leave your mark on a unique organization • Great way to give back • Attend meetings • Run for Executive Board
