Some things don’t translate… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFn26FHUJJ8
Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday Observed • This year we observed Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday on Monday, January 20th • Some holidays/traditions do not translate, just like catchy jingles!
Skit • Your table group will come up with a skit depicting a US tradition/holiday • The skit must be entirely in Spanish • If you do not know how to say something in Spanish, you may look up 5 words maximum or you can act it out using props/gestures • Use the space in your carpeta to organize your thoughts and prepare for the skit, your group will perform for the class!
6th Grade: Drawing • Use the space in your packet to draw at least the who, what, where, when, why or how of the US holiday/tradition each group was demonstrating
Reflection Fill out the reflection in your packet honestly and completely
Tarea • If you still did not turn in your two signed forms today, they are due next class • Brush off your Spanish skills, next class we start our first unit packet!
