Practical Points to help Construct a revision timetable and help students keep to it. Help practice the past papers, each student will be given. The areas they struggle on can then be revised using the relevant parts of their text books. (all students have these)
Ensure that students have access to a Scientific calculator and that they can use it properly. They need to get used to using it. They must be able to use: Foundation Higher or
Provide somewhere quiet to work. Always working to music does not simulate exams, TV only distracts. Working in silence is a real skill in itself. Working solidly for 1hr 30 mins or 2 hrs and being motivated to check work is hard.
Encourage working out: Find 12% of £64 = £768 0 Marks Find 12% of £64 12÷100 = 0.12 0.12 x 64 = £768 2 out of 3 Marks

So what do the students once they have done the exam? • All students will complete GCSE Statistics coursework in the remainder of the summer term. • Results will then be available like all GCSEs in August.
Year 11 • A*/A students will do either AS or Additional Maths GCSE. • Statistics GCSE. • Resits • to get a higher grade than they already achieved. • BTEC Level 2 Maths • - Another GCSE…?
