Why do you need to know what Acid & Alkaline Foods are? What difference does it make and how can these impact your health?
We should always be careful of what we put in our mouths because they will have a huge impact on how our bodies function. This is the main reason we’ve been taught, since childhood, to stop eating junk and eat more fruits and vegetables. These are healthy; they will make us stronger and resistant to diseases.
Unfortunately, the diet of most people today is not healthy. There are so many junk foods that we like to consume. We even spend money for these things. Add to that the prevalence of processed and fast foods that taste great but can be very bad for the body. These may be convenient, especially for those who lead very busy lives, but they don’t contain the right nutrients the body needs. Plus, they can make the body too acidic.
High acidity will also cause us to lack energy, rendering us unable to perform certain tasks. Being acidic will keep the body from absorbing vitamins and minerals from supplements and medication we take. Unless the body’s pH levels reach the normal state, it will be hard to recover from any sickness.
