The Role of the Office of Clinical Affairs in Dental Education
The Office of Clinical Affairs is responsible for maintaining quality patient care while optimizing the clinical experience for students and graduate residents within the College of Dentistry. Services include but are not limited to providing quality assurance, resolving patient issues, maintaining infection control, insuring regulatory compliance and fiscal oversight.

The First 100 Days • Identify issues requiring immediate attention. • Become familiar with the UKCD and its culture. • Meet with existing committees (i.e. Quality Assurance, Clinical Services, etc.) to determine the current state of affairs. • Establish communications with students, residents and faculty. • Maintain an ‘Open Door’ policy residents and faculty. • Ask many questions and try to not reinvent the wheel.
