  2. Human Activated Protein C • Endogenuous protein with -antithrombotic -profibrinolytic -antiinflammatory properties

  3. Our Data • APC started in January 2003 • 38 complete courses (96 hours)until March 2005

  4. 4 incomplete courses • APC discontinued after 1 hour as indication was wrong • 1 patient died before completion of course of pituitary gland necrosis • APC discontinued due to impending surgery • 1 septic patient died before completion of course of sepsis

  5. 2 courses of APC in 1 patient • Patient with 2 ITU admissions due to chest infections, about 4 months apart
