  2. Hub • This is a hardware device that is used to network multiple computers together. It is a central connection for all the computers in a network

  3. Switch • A network switch is device that is used to connect devices together on a computer network by performing a form of packet switching.

  4. Router • A network device that forwards packets from one network to another.

  5. Bridge • A network bridge connects and filters traffic between two network segments at the data link layer of the OSI model to form a single network.

  6. Gateway • A device that enables data to flow between different networks which forms the Internet.

  7. Firewall • A software program designed to protect a network by preventing unauthorized users from gaining access or by monitoring transfers of information to and from the network.

  8. Wireless AP • Adevice that allows wireless devices to connect to a wired network, such as a router, using Wi-Fi.
