  2. What is EIP? • EIP stands for Early Intervention Program. It is designed to help those students who are struggling with either reading and/or math. Students qualify based on the following criteria. • Low GCRCT score • Universal screening using Aims Web Math computation and Reading fluency and comprehension

  3. How are EIP students served? • EIP students are pulled out of the regular classroom or an additional teacher is providedand served for a period of 45-50 minutes per segment (reading and/or math) • Students are taught the same standards, using the same textbooks and materials as the regular education classroom • Students are in a smaller group setting which allows for more one-on-one instruction

  4. EIP Students (Entering and Exiting) • EIP students may enter the program at any time during the year and also be exited from the program any time during they year. Exiting criteria are as follows. • Significant improvement in academic areas (report card grades) • Teacher feels that student is ready to be exited from the program • Students’ progress will be monitored every 2 weeks in Reading and Math through AIMS Web. If there is consistent growth and progress, exiting EIP is considered.
