Prayers Mobilization – for children for UPG Missions Oriented Discipleship Materials Short term missions, Prayer journeys Conferences, Consultations Tapes, CDs, Publications eg OW, OC Development of the concept of the UPG itself Adopt a people concept

  3. What do we want to see happen in mobilizing for the UPGs – process and methods? Mobilizing the pastoral leadership by serving the church Education from childhood and entire church Missions conferences in seminaries Creation/finding pathways for mobilization Want to see more of Kingdom teachings More prayers for mobilization More simplified missions mobilization concept Greater partnership between missions and churches Establish networks for missions mobilizers and mobilization agencies around the world Collaboration of churches adopting the UPG

  4. How effective or otherwise are some of our methods and processes to-date? Effective, because of decline in UPGs Ineffective, because more churches are yet to be involved Western based churches are less responsive Several conferences are lame – with outdated methods Lack of methods and processes Mobilize more senders Insufficient education and debriefing of short term missionaries – ffective mobilizing, follow up process

  5. What should we do differently and how? Mobilize the untapped resources Cultivating relationship with churches and individuals, as well as cross cultural Planting churches with a heart for missions More prayers More complete packaging information and vision for UPG Serious rethinking of our ecclesiology We need to mobilize the gate keepers – pastors Bridge the gap between the theology and missiology Development of more non western writers for missions issues Provision of a comprehensive course of study that takes care of several issues of mission mobilization and participation Development of ‘buyable’ mobilization drive

Tools for the target – Accessing Appropriate Resources – human, organization, materials give pastors access to mission training Take them on field driven mission trips Win overworked and or disbelieving leaders Thru relationships, serving them,thru the Holy Spirit. Critical self investigation towards our own attitude to pastors Rather “what is God’s purpose” than “what is God’s agenda” Give right meaning to term “mission” Give simple definitions, e.g. for UPG, show figures Exposure to Full Great Commission Obligatory approach to mission involvement (kinship,passing the baton, debt of gratitude) Mission convention with purpose and follow-up
