  3. Description Overview • The Recyclables is an educational video game that promotes the awareness of recycling. • The game consists of one character that battles evil villains and their gangs from polluting Urban City.

  4. Goals • The game is about environmental awareness. • The character’s goal is to save the city from pollution.

  5. 3D/2D Models and Graphics • Unity 3D • Blender • Anim8tor (used to animate characters) • Free Online Download Audio • Photoshop • Photo Impressions • Free Online Download for Textures

  6. Detailed Designs of Layers/Modules/Classes • Start up menu with the options: New Game, Load Game, and Exit. • Selection of a character once you have a chosen to play New Game or you can Exit. • We created a 5 areas map environment with a lake, forest/wooded area, a city, a mountain terrain, and an ocean.

  7. Progress Report with Demo • Created models/characters with animations and some textures • Added Scripts • Created the map • Created Health/Pollution bar, start up menu back ground image…

  8. The Map The Forest This area contains the spawns for the combustibles and the fire queen A future mountain… for looks The city contains the spawns for “smog”. The ocean This area contains the spawns for the blooplings and the bloop boss The lake This area contains spawns for the trashmen The land fill This area is the location of the big boss at the end of the game A farm….. for looks

  9. The Map Cont. • Each spawn spawns a certain number of the appropriate minion and keeps track of how many are left. • There is only one boss of each type that spawns when the underlings are all defeated. • The main boss in the end spawns when all of the mini bosses are defeated.

  10. Classes • So far we have: • Player • Status- contains health and life variables and death and damage functions • Player controller- contains movement animations, and speeds • Player attack – contains attack functions of the various weapon types (to be implemented, there is a “ball” weapon for the demo)

  11. Classes Cont. • Enemies • Enemy Script- contains health, attack threshold, chase threshold, give up threshold, attack repeat time, damage dealt, animations and sounds. • Enemy Damage- contains damage dealt by player ( currently only has damage dealt by the “ball” weapon) • Others • Spawn Script- contains the type of minion to spawn, the number to be spawned, and the number remaining • Level Status- keeps track of the pollution level based off the amount of enemies remaining (for display purposes) • HUD- displays the health bar, pollution level bar, player lives, radar (soon to be mini map) and will also hold the weapon selector and a main menu button • Scripts for the start menu, load game (to be implemented), character selection (to be improved), and game over
