TIMED WRITING • Respond to the following prompt: • Using your knowledge of the chapter titled “The Color Line in New York,” from Jacob Riis’s text How the Other Half Lives, compare / contrast Riis’s opinion of racism in 1890 to those of the people in the video “The Color Line: Racism in America.” Are the opinions similar? Do they differ? Explain your answer thoroughly using supporting evidence from the text and video.
