Expand community knowledge around economic development Identify & pursue ways to outreach to minority, women-owned and home based businesses Continue collaboration with local partners Promote business and economic development-related workshops Provide communications support for the EOAC and other local economic development efforts Position Chamber as a bridge and resource for the business community and government Economic Development

Created Chamber’s Economic Alliance Council in 2011 Assigned task force to survey residents, businesses owners & government officials Designed and conducted surveys with 262 respondents between May & August 2012 Submitted data to Daytona State College for compilation and analysis Share baseline findings Solicit feedback & conduct follow up survey (Fall 2013) Survey Overview

  6. Flagler County Economic Opportunity Advisory Council was formed in Nov 2011 • Helga van Eckert was hired as Exec Director of Flagler County Department of Economic Opportunity in Mar 2012 Some Perspective

Work with FCDEO and other partners to promote successes to date to raise visibility/awareness of economic development efforts • Spread the word: “Business to Beaches, Flagler County has it all” • Conduct follow up survey in late 2013 • Increased focus on residents • Measure changes in perception Next Steps
