Neighbourhood Renewal Neighbourhood renewal in Colac has produced a ready made environment for interaction of disadvantaged communities with: • Councils • State agencies • Not for profit social agencies • Themselves This has been achieved in the process of Neighbourhood renewal – a sustainably engaged community . • That is not to negate specific projects along the way.

Towards Liveable Communities Coordinating Committees (Colac) TLC3 Colac • Active participation DPCD, DOH, DHS, DEECD, DoJ, Glastonbury, St Laurence, Otway Community College, Colac Otway Shire. • Action Plan with 4 key foci: • Health & Wellbeing including community safety • Placemaking and urban design • Economic participation and development • Lifelong learning.

Priorities Access & Equity services, for all people, (people with a disability) provided in our community • Improving health and wellbeing in Colac • Community involvement in decision making • Creating pride where we live • Destination Colac • Towards improved education outcomes • Principles of local area planning and coordination • Towards safer communities • Improving access to the services/supports you need • Supporting access to lifelong health, education and care

  5. Advancing Country Towns • Allocation of $800k over 4 years • Appointment of Senior Project manager • Multi departmental Steering Group • COS employee (Sustainable Planning & Development) • Project oriented • Delivery priorities through TLC3 and other project prioritisation mechanisms.
