  2. Why are we here today? • Our goal is to start an active serious relationship to The Word of God

  3. Why is it so important to have such relationship??

  4. The Word of God • Hebrews 4:12 • لان كلمة الله حية وفعالة وامضى من كل سيف ذي حدين وخارقة الى مفرق النفس والروح والمفاصل والمخاخ ومميزة افكار القلب ونياته. • God’s word is living

  5. The Word of God • Mathew 4:4 • فاجاب وقال مكتوب ليس بالخبز وحده يحيا الانسان بل بكل كلمة تخرج من فم الله. • God’s word gives life.

  6. The Word of God • Psalm 119:105 • سراج لرجلي كلامك ونور لسبيلي • Prov. 6:23 • 23 لان الوصية مصباح والشريعة نور وتوبيخات الادب طريق الحياة. God’s word guides my way.

  7. The Word of God • Ezekiel 3: 3 • 3 وقال لي يا ابن آدم اطعم بطنك واملأ جوفك من هذا الدرج الذي انا معطيكه.فأكلته فصار في فمي كالعسل حلاوة • God’s word is a spiritual food

  8. The Word of God • Jeremiah 15:16 • 16 وجد كلامك فأكلته فكان كلامك لي للفرح ولبهجة قلبي لاني دعيت باسمك يا رب اله الجنود. • God’s word gives joy to my life and rejoices my heart.

The Word of God • Ephesus 6: 17 • 17 وخذوا خوذة الخلاص وسيف الروح الذي هو كلمة الله. • Mathew 4: 4,7,10 • 4 فاجاب وقال مكتوب ليس بالخبز وحده يحيا الانسان • 7 قال له يسوع مكتوب ايضا لا تجرب الرب الهك. • حينئذ قال له يسوع اذهب يا شيطان.لانه مكتوب للرب الهك تسجد واياه وحده تعبد. • Victory over the devil.

  10. The Word of God • Acts 20:32 • 32 والآن استودعكم يا اخوتي للّه ولكلمة نعمته القادرة ان تبنيكم وتعطيكم ميراثا مع جميع المقدسين • God’s word is important for my spiritual build up.

  12. The Word of God • Is living • It gives life. • It guides my way. • A spiritual food • It rejoices my heart. • Victory over the devil. • God’s word builds me up spiritually.

  13. How can I start a relationship with The Word of God??

  15. A Practical Approach • 1- Set a regular time everyday and choose an appropriate place to read The Word of God. • 2- Start with a prayer that God may guide you by His Holy Spirit to understand what you read • 3- Quality or quantity. • 4- Read in sequence.

  16. A Practical Approach • 5- Memorize 1 verse of each chapter. • 6- Use a commentary book for the difficult verses and words. • 7- Read an introductionto each book of the bible before you start it to understand the background of the text.

A Practical Approach • 8-Compare different Bible versions of the same or different languages (if applicable) • 9- Search for the Key Verses, The Promises, and take note of Verses that are difficult to understand • 10- Make a conclusion at the end of your reading session of what you read and what does it mean to you
