PATIENT VISIT RESERVATION SYSTEM • 7,4 MLt budget (2,1 MEUR) • 2 years, starting from 1st of September, 2005 • 20 Partners: • covering 8 regions, 51 municipalities • ~740 000 primary care patients (about ¼ of all population) • Handling over 6 000 000 visits per year • Expected results: • Designed and implemented National Information System for Patient Appointment Booking • 580 new computerized working places for outpatient receptions and doctors • Upgrade of network connectivity • Establishment of Internet assistance center
PATIENT VISIT RESERVATION SYSTEM Information System will enable: • physicians, secretaries and administrators - work more efficiently • patients - book visits via Internet and mobile devices, choose consultants between different health care institutions • Operative interaction between patient and health care provider using all kind of mobile, internet and other information technologies • Higher quality of service
PATIENT VISIT RESERVATION SYSTEM Information System is going to use modern Information technologies: • Mobile technologies • SMS – for acknowledgement of appointment, reminder day before visit, calendar update for doctors etc. • WAP and mobile internet – for online reservation, access to information • Office technologies • Integration with consultant’s calendar • Security technologies • User (Patient) identification using SMS and phone number recognition • SSL for external (internet) access to the system • VPN connectivity for internal (institutional) use of the system
